Historic Randolph Lucas Jones House

Roger Smith is an historic preservationist, and former partner of New Town Partners LLC, an Economic and Real Estate Development company. He is a former partner in the Georgia Atlantic Company, a family business started by his father in 1967. Originally from Moultrie, Georgia, Roger attended Mercer University where he received a BA in Business Administration. His love for architecture and historic preservation developed early from his parents who were both involved in the Georgia Trust from its inception. He is a past board member of the Atlanta Botanical Garden, where he also served on the Executive Board as the chair of the Development Committee. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of Open Hand. In 2019 Roger achieved a dream he shared with late husband Christopher Jones, saving from destruction, and relocating the beautiful historic Randolph Lucas House to its current location in Ansley Park. At the end of 2019 the house was renamed the Randolph Lucas Jones house to honor the legacy of Christopher Jones. Roger resides in the Randolph Lucas Jones house in Ansley Park with his two furry black cat children, Olivia and Huey.
